Dope or Nope...

A friend of mine at work and I have this "game" that we play called "Dope or Nope." Basically, we come up with a topic, and decide whether it's cool (dope) or not cool (nope). This past week, the topic was "getting engaged at a baseball game." Is this dope or nope? Now, most of you know that I absolutely love sports ... at times, the love is more of an unhealthy obsession.

However, I don't think I could ever, ever get engaged at a ball game. And, truthfully, I can't really think of any time or situation in which this is ok. Maybe, if you are a former ball player for that team, or possibly if you met the person at the ball park ... I guess an argument can be made for those people.

But, outside of that, I consider this a big "NOPE," much like I consider baseball jerseys with your last name on them a big "NOPE." What are your thoughts?

  1. OHHH I like this game...sounds like the chicka was part of a "rope a dope to me...hehehehe

I think if the couple has some kind of special meaning w/the engagement @ a baseball park, then it makes some kind of love/wonderful! When the guy does it, as some kind of 'multi-tasking" thing, than NOPE!!!

  3. NOPE!

I think seeking that kind of attention when you are proposing marriage is pathetic.

I always wanted to see it done, though and to see the girl turn him down. Now that is DOPE!

  4. Isn't this kinda backasswards? I mean, only a dope would do this.

  5. I agree, it is a NOPE unless there are those little conditions like you all ready stated.

  6. Gotta go nope!

Sports and marriage proposals are not a good mix. It would be cool t see a gal say no though.

  7. I'm torn.

    "Dope" if she said Yes,

    "Nope" if she said No.

No real way to judge upfront, I guess.
