Facebook ... this has become the biggest "social" site in the U.S. (and maybe the planet - not sure about that, though). Facebook is a way to reconnect with long lost friends and family, post what you're doing, view pictures of friends and family, and become fans of cool things.
Facebook can also be a time-waster ... addicting games that seem to drain hours out of your life. Facebook can also be a tool for stalking, potential identify theft, and computer virus spreader.
Where do you stand (or sit) with Facebook? I'm a Facebooker, but really, I only spend about 15 minutes a day on it (if that). I'm there to read other people's updates, update my status (if I have something witty to say), and play a few games of Bubble Popp.

I like Facebook because it's put me in touch with old friends, some of whom I've gotten together with.
ReplyDeleteI don't do the games or open up anything that comes in my email and have all my settings set on private.
I use Facebook as a promotional tool. Sometime I will go on just to talk to friends and family, but mostly I used it to promote things on my site through NetworkedBlogs. I used to be a heavy user, but I shook that habit.

Ahhh facebook.... where do I start? I hate the fact that assclowns that I went to school with that I never talked to before now want to be my friends. I hate when people I know through a friend of a friend of a friend want to be my friend and then when I see them in public they act like they don't know who I am. I also hate that people I work with want to be my friend which means I can't bitch about work.
