The Capes are (according to their myspace page) a poppy post-punk quintet with a side order of analogue electronica ... to me, they have a power-poppy feel, mixed with some Cars influences ... sadly after one album, the band broke up (far too early to early in my opinion). Their only album, Hello, is chocked full of hooks and melodies that seem to anchor themselves in your head for hours and hours (not all that dissimilar to Leisure McCorkle).
Though there are many songs I like on the album, Supergirls seems to be the one I tend to replay the most, probably probably because it has the most pervasive hooks, as well as more than a few musical twists. In addition to the Cars influence, if you listen closely, you can probably detect the fingerprints of the Beach Boys, Devo, and even the Beatles.
