Dope or Nope ...

I drink coffee, but I don't consider myself a coffee drinker. I like basic coffee - you know, Maxwell House or Folgers is fine by me. Once in a while, I'll go to the local Wawa and get a Hazelnut or French Vanilla coffee, but that's it. I could care less about "fancy" coffee like Starbucks or some those other "trendy" coffee places that charge $5 a cup.

In fact, I can't fathom spending that much for a cup of coffee. Plus, I think I'd probably strangle the customer in front of me if he/she ordered this specialty coffee with all of those weird directions (whipped, stirred slightly, with just a spritz of half-and-half).

So, what do you guys and gals think. Is fancy coffee dope or nop?

I know!!!!

I went into a coffee shop with Caz a few weeks back.

"2 coffees please"

"Americano? Latte? Cappuccino? Espresso? Frappe?"

"er....2 cups of coffe please"

"Yes sir! Americano? Latte? Cappuccino? Espresso? Frappe?"

"Are you a masochist?"

"I'm sorry sir?"

"Do you really really want me to slap you on the head?"

"I beg your pardon sir?"

"2 COFFEES!!!....PLEASE!!!"

A few seconds of silence and I received my order without a word.

It tasted very nice too....

Nope... I'll just stick with Folgers.

The last time I had Starbucks was probably three years ago, hungover on my way to work.

I dig on regular coffee too. Though I will go for a Cafe Mocha every once and a while. Chocolate + coffee = crack. :)

I hate fancy coffee and I especially hate Starbuck's. I blame them for this trend.

I do like fancy coffee, but I rarely buy coffee at a coffee shop since I can achieve it at home with regular old coffee and flavored creamer. I just top with it a little real whipped cream when I'm feeling whimsical, but most of the time I skip it due to calorie concerns. And honestly, I don't care for Starbucks coffee that much since I'm a Panera girl, but they do make a mean caramel apple cider and uber delicious hot chocolate.
