Dope or Nope ...

How 'bout those Vuvuzelas (sp) at the World Cup? Lots of news stories on them. It seems like most people are annoyed by them, as they sound like a swarm of hornets. These South Africans blow them the ENTIRE game.

To me, it's not a big deal - it's part of their culture. Plus, after a few minutes, you don't even notice them anymore. Why should we go into South Africa and complain about their culture anyway?

And besides, who are we to complain - we have those absolutely ridiculous thundersticks at basketball games!

They're great as a punchline/fad pop culture reference.

But man- if I paid good money to see the world cup in person and all I heard was this, I'd be pissed.

It's still metric football.

It might be interesting if someone shoved one up Jerry Jones' butt.

There's an app for that. Seriously. And it's just as silly and annoying as the real thing.

Not sure I'd want to sit next to them per se...but as a completely oblivious bystander who is not forced to listen to them for 80 minutes...or however long...I think it's kind of funny. :)
